Bruce York works as a photographer for a major cultural institution in Sydney. He studied photography at TAFE / Ultimo where he graduated at the top of his class. He is also a qualified microbiologist who happened to spend 15 years working in NYC as a textile designer.
He has received recognition for his personal work as the winner of the Nikon / ACP Student of the Year (2002) and has been a finalist in Head On (Son & City, 2009), Plein Air (2011) and Art & About (Contemplating Sydney Park, 2009 & George & Hay, 2011).
